The Giallorossi’s hopes of lifting the Scudetto for the first time in nearly a decade received a big blow last weekend as they threw away a first half lead to lose 2-1 against Sampdoria with Giampaolo Pazzini scoring a brace in the second half.

With Inter Milan winning against Atalanta, the defeat saw Roma slip back to second in the league table with just three more games remaining in the season. Coach Claudio Ranieri will be hoping to put more pressure on Inter, who do not play until Sunday, by securing a comfortable victory on Saturday.

Parma on the other hand will be hoping to secure all three points and consolidate their position inside the top half of the table with manager Francesco Guidolin hoping to end a successful season on a confident note.
