Paraguay have qualified for the World Cup on last three occasions and are favorites to make it four times in a row with coach Gerardo Martino hoping to wrap up their qualification with a shock win over a stuttering Argentina side.

Tipped to challenge Brazil for the first position in the table, Argentina have had a disappointing qualifying campaign so far and have just managed to hold on to the final place in the table that will guarantee them participation in the World Cup.

Argentina go into the match on the back of a humiliating 3-1 home defeat to Brazil on Saturday. Luisao opened the scoring for the Brazilians in the 23rd minute before Luis Fabiano doubled the lead before the half time whistle. Argentina managed to reduce the lead through Jesus Datolo but Fabiano restored the two goal lead three minutes later to help Brazil qualify for the World Cup.

Pressure is on coach Diego Maradona to turn his side's fortunes around in the last three matches and safely get his side to qualify for the World Cup.

Argentina had managed just a draw against Paraguay when the two teams met early in the campaign with Sergio Aguero scoring the equalizer after Gabriel Heinze had scored an own goal early in the 13th minute.
