Osasuna face an almost improbable task of winning their final La Liga game to stay in top flight Spanish football next season when they welcome Real Madrid to the Reyno de Navarra Stadium this Sunday. Osasuna are dangerously close to the relegation zone occupying the 17th spot with 40 points from 37 games. Sporting Gijon also have the same number of points, but are 18th due to their poor goal difference.

Meanwhile Real Madrid slumped to a 1-3 defeat to Mallorca in their final home game of the season. Gonzalo Higuain had put the hosts ahead, but goals from Juan Arango, Cleber Santana and Alhassane Keita gave Mallorca a famous win. This was Real's fourth straight loss after they slumped to a 6-2 defeat against Barcelona.

They stay on the second spot in the La Liga with 78 points from 37 games. Manager Juande Ramos will want to end this season on a high in what could also be his final game in charge of the Galacticos.

Wesley Sneijder, Christoph Metzelder, Gabriel Heinze, Fernando Gago and Michel Salgado continue to miss out due to injury, while Pepe is suspended for this game.
