Republic of Ireland travel to Norway for a friendly clash as manager Giovanni Trappatoni finalizes his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Watch all live streaming soccer here on Live Sport Network.

Manager Giovanni Trappatoni has managed to coax Liverpool defender Steve Finnan out of retirement to help his side in the World Cup qualifying campaign. Finnan had retired from international football in January once Ireland bowed out of contention for Euro 2008.

 

 

But Andy O'Brien has remained firm on retirement, while Stephen Ireland is not yet ready to make a comeback. Aidan McGeady and Kevin Kilbane also find places on the squad.

Republic of Ireland kick off their 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign with a game against Georgia next month.

 

 

Norway coach Aage Hareide will be hoping his players will shape up in time to take on Iceland in their first World Cup qualifier on September 6. Morten Gamst Pedersen, John Carew and Stefan Iverson are all expected to be available for this game in Oslo.

Carew in particular is in fine form for Aston Villa and will hope to translate that form into goals for Norway.
