Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington will be hard pressed to motivate his team after their demoralizing 3-0 loss to Italy in June's world cup qualifier. Northern Ireland are second in their group, but they face stiff competition from Czech Republic and Poland as the qualifying campaign enters its home stretch.

For this game, Worthington has retained faith in Colin Coates, who was the only shining light in the bitter defeat against Italy. Meanwhile Israel coach Dror Kashtan will hope to use this game as an opportunity to find some form ahead of next month’s world cup qualifiers. Israel are all but out of the race for South Africa, but the likes of Ben Sahar and Yossi Benayoun would like to salvage some pride in the upcoming fixtures.
