Ivory Coast lost 3-1 to Brazil in their second game thanks to goals from Luis Fabiano, who grabbed a brace, and Elano. Didier Drogba pulled one back for the Elephants late on, but it was never going to be enough.

Coach Sven Goran-Eriksson will need to tinker with his line-up as Ivory Coast need to score at least 6 goals to have any chance of going through. Gervinho could make a comeback into the starting line-up after being left on the bench for the last game.

Meanwhile North Korea will be hoping to avoid another mauling at the world cup. They lost 7-0 to Portugal after appearing to challenge for much of the first half. A brace from Tiago and goals from Raul Meireles, Simao, Hugo Almeida, Liedson and Cristiano Ronaldo gave the Portuguese a great win and left coach Kim embarrassed. He will hope his side can put up a better showing against Ivory Coast and bow out in style.
