Tottenham Hotspur welcome Newcastle United to White Hart Lane in a Premiership clash that could very well decide if Spurs boss Martin Jol will continue to be at the helm.

With Spurs failing to register league victories on a consistent basis, Jol's future at White Hart Lane is gathering fresh momentum after it was revealed that the Tottenham board were also considering Jurgen Klinsmann as a possible candidate to replace the Dutch manager.

Tottenham are on a poor run of form with no wins in last six matches and find themselves just one spot above the relegation zone with a quarter of a season gone. Jol will have to turn things around quickly if the club is to move up the table and challenge at least for a European slot come the end of the season.

Meanwhile Newcastle United will be confident of chalking up their fifth win of the season as manager Sam Allardyce looks to cash in on Tottenham's poor form. A good start to the season has lifted Newcastle to 8th position in the league with 14 points from 8 matches.

With Allardyce trying to sort out Newcastle's defensive problems and the team posing a serious attacking threat to the opposition, Newcastle fans will be hopeful of at least a European finish this season along with a good run in the cup tournaments.
