The Netherlands entered the Euro 2008 quarterfinals in a spectacular fashion beating France 4-1. Goals from Dirk Kuyt, Robin Van Persie, Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder were enough to cancel out Thierry Henry's lone strike and put France on the brink of elimination.

Dutch coach Marco Van Basten would have been delighted with the performance of the Oranje especially Robben. The Real Madrid man was everywhere and tormented the French defense endlessly. It is doubtful if Van Basten will rest some of his star names for the Romania game although he will be hugely tempted to do so.

Romania on the other hand have done enough to take their Euro 2008 campaign into a final group game. Romania held world champions Italy to a 1-1 draw in their last game and could have won the game had Adrian Mutu not missed his penalty.

Romania coach Victor Piturca may rue that miss in the final analysis. The game was otherwise equally balanced with Mutu giving the Romanians a lead in the 55th minute only for Christian Panucci to equalize in the next minute.

Romania need to go all out for a win in this game although they may ultimately find the Dutch too hot to handle.
