Other names to move out include Pascal Chimbonda, Steed Malbranque, Younes Kaboul and Paul Robinson. Ramos has brought in Spanish goalkeeper Cesar Sanchez after his move for Derby's Stephen Bywater failed to materialize.

David Bentley has arrived from Blackburn, while Giovanni Dos Santos has moved from Barcelona. Russia star Andrei Arshavin's proposed move appears to have fallen out.
