The Carrebian nation has put in some strong performances in their first two matches and has already booked its place in the quarter finals. Guadeloupe opened their campaign with a shock 2-1 win over Panama and followed it up with a comfortable 2-0 win against Nicaragua in their last match.

 

 

Stephane Auvray opened the scoring in the 57th minute before Ludovic Gotin doubled the lead two minutes later to help his side secure a second straight win in the competition. Coach Roger Salnot expressed his delight at his side's performances and said that Guadeloupe are now in a great position to repeat their last edition's performance of making it to the semi final.

Meanwhile Mexico need just one point in their final match to book their place in the next round. Javier Aguirre's side managed just one point in their second group game against Panama. Miguel Sabah opened the scoring in the 10th minute as Mexico looked to wrap up their qualification to the next round but Blas Perez equalized 29th minute before both the teams clashed on the pitch which saw Aguirre and Luis Noriega receive red cards.
