Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Aston Villa when they welcome a resurgent Wolves side in their next Premier League game on Tuesday. Chelsea’s 3-3 draw against Everton meant that the defending champions had a great chance to pull level with the league leaders at the top of the table. However Gabriel Agbonlahor’s goal early in the first half saw United slump to their fourth defeat of the season and go three points behind Chelsea in the race for the league title.

Manager Alex Ferguson admitted that Villa deserved to win the game though he refused to blame his players for the defeat. Meanwhile Wolves coach Mick McCarthy will be hoping that his side will be able to maintain their recent return to form as long as possible and move further away from the drop zone. Wolves have now won their last two matches including a narrow 1-0 win away to Tottenham on Saturday.
