Sporting CP face a must win game against Manchester United when both the teams play in their next Champions League clash on Tuesday.

The Portuguese club needs to better the result obtained by AS Roma against Dynamo Kiev in order to have any hopes of qualifying to the knockout stages. Sporting CP only managed a 2-2 draw against Roma three weeks ago.

With the club having already lost the first leg 2-1, the result has put Roma in the driver’s seat to clinch qualification from the group. However they face a tough ask against a Manchester United team that has won all of their four matches so far and are favorites to win fifth in a row.

United have already qualified to the knockout stages and is the only team to maintain a 100% winning record in the group stage. However manager Alex Ferguson will be keen to continue the team's good form and finish top of the group table.

The English champions have a brilliant home record in the Champions League, winning all of their previous 8 matches and have lost just one home game in the last 32 Champions League ties, with the only defeat coming against AC Milan back in 2005.

Ferguson will be looking to test some of his younger stars with Gerard Pique and Anderson likely to start the game along with Danny Simpson.
