Manchester United gave themselves a fine chance of qualifying for the quarterfinals of live UEFA Champions League by scoring a late equalizer in their first leg of the round of 16 tie at Lyon a fortnight ago.

However the dam was breached in the 87th minute, when Tevez shot home Nani's cross that was laid nicely onto his path by Fred.

The 1-1 draw means the Red Devils need at least a 0-0 draw to qualify for the Champions League live quarterfinals. Sir Alex Ferguson would be delighted with this prospect as it means his side are still active on three fronts and can make a triple happen.

Manchester United have not lost any Champions League fixture at home and do not look like losing this one either. Lyon coach Alain Perrin can only hope his team can be inspired enough to score at least one goal at Old Trafford.
