Manchester United will be looking to erase memories of a shock 1-0 loss at Bolton when they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford in a Monday night Premiership fixture.

Nicolas Anelka scored the only goal of the match as United struggled to make any impact in the absence of Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. That was United's first defeat since the 1-0 loss to Manchester City back in August and manager Alex Ferguson will be wanting his team to return back to their attacking best with the season approaching the crucial Christmas period.

Ferguson will be boosted by the return of Ronaldo and Nemanja Vidic with both the players recovering from their respective injuries while Wayne Rooney could be fit for the clash after overcoming an ankle injury that has seen the England striker miss United's last two games.

Meanwhile Fulham manager Lawrie Sanchez will be hoping for a better performance by his defense late in the game when they meet Manchester United on the weekend. The Cottagers' inability to close down the game in the second half continued as Stephen Warnock's 80th minute goal saw Blackburn hold Fulham to a 2-2 draw last weekend.

While Fulham are comfortably placed 12th in the league table with 13 points from 14 matches, Sanchez will be hoping that his team manages to hold out late in the game if the club is to push for a top half finish come the end of the season.
