Manchester United will be hoping to build on their exciting win over Liverpool when they welcome Everton to Old Trafford in their weekend's Premiership clash.

The defending champions emerged triumphant in a scrappy affair at Anfield last weekend and maintained pace with league leaders Arsenal at the top of the table. Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the match and United extended their unbeaten streak at Anfield for at least another year.

United manager Alex Ferguson will be confident that his side will come out of the busy Christmas scheduled after collecting maximum points with the team slated to play Sunderland, West Ham United and Birmingham City after the clash against Everton. Gary Neville could make a return to the team after being on the sidelines since the start of the season with a foot injury.

Meanwhile Everton will be looking to maintain their recent good form that has seen them win five of their last seven matches, taking them to sixth in the league table. David Moyes will be delighted by the form shown by his team who have emerged as a genuine contender for a European place come the end of the season.

Ayegbeni Yakubu and Mikel Arteta will be the key for Moyes if Everton is to break down the stubborn United defense that has kept four clean sheets in last five games and have conceded just 8 goals so far this season.

Yakubu has been scoring for fun in the recent matches, bagging five goals in last three games and Moyes will be hoping that his star striker maintains the good form in front of goal as long as possible. Leon Osman will be out for at least a month after breaking his toe in the match against West Ham.
