Manchester United are favorites to go through to their first Champions League final since 1999 when they take on Barcelona in the second leg of their semi final clash on Tuesday. Catch live Champions League action on Live Sport Network.

A brilliant defensive display saw United hold Barcelona to a 0-0 draw at the Camp Nou in the first leg and while manager Alex Ferguson will be satisfied with the performance, it would have been even better had Cristiano Ronaldo converted from the penalty spot in the opening minutes of the game.

Having won the penalty himself after his header from a corner was handled by Gabriel Milito in the third minute, the Portuguese winger even guessed the right way but was unable to keep his shot on target. United will now have a tough task of beating Barcelona at Old Trafford.

Ferguson will be aware of the fact that though his side has the home advantage, they are not yet through to the final. United have lost the tie at home on three different occasions after coming out with goalless draws in the first leg.

And while United have a great record at home, winning all of their four matches and conceding just one goal in the process. However Barcelona on the other hand have looked dangerous on their travels and have managed to hit the back of the net in four of their five matches and have won three games.

Barcelona though will have to improve on their record against English oppositions having won just six of 23 matches played. Barcelona have lost just one of their three matches played at Old Trafford with the previous visit earning them a thrilling 3-3 draw in 1998-99 season.
