After an excellent start to the season, City have lost their way with the club managing six draws in their last six matches. While poor form from their other rivals has seen the club remain within touching distance of a top four finish, manager Mark Hughes will be aware that form will have to improve very quickly if they are to pose a serious challenge to qualify for the Champions League.

City came very close to clinching a vital win over Liverpool last weekend as they bounced back from a goal down to take a 2-1 lead late in the game through Emmanuel Adebayor and Stephen Ireland only for Yossi Benayoun to level the scores with just 13 minutes remaining on the clock.

Robinho could return back to action after spending the last two months out of action due to a foot injury. However Kolo Toure and Martin Petrov remain on the sidelines with the duo yet to recover from their injuries.

Meanwhile Hull City boss Phil Brown will be hopeful that his side can maintain their recent return to form by collecting at least a point this weekend. Having collected just eight points from their first 11 games, Hull seemed to have hit a green patch with the Tigers winning two of their last three matches to put some daylight between them and the drop zone.
