Rich kids Man City started their Premiership campaign on a high when they beat Blackburn 2-0 away from home last weekend. Goals from Emmaneul Adebayor and Stephen Ireland set things on motion at Eastlands and manager Mark Hughes will want the show to continue this weekend as well.

In a midweek friendly against Barcelona, Man City triumphed 1-0 giving credence to several reports that it would be foolish to dismiss their claims this season. Martin Petrov scored in that game and staked his name for a starting spot for the weekend fixture at home.

Meanwhile Wolves will also be confident having registered their first win of the season away at Wigan Athletic during the midweek. Andy Keogh scored in the 6th minute and Wolves managed to hang on to grab all three points at the JJB Stadium.

Manager Mick McCarthy will be delighted to get three points, but will know that Man City could hurt them pretty badly. McCarthy has mounting injury worries barely two weeks into the new season. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is sidelined with a hamstring issue as is Kevin Foley.

Kevin Doyle has a groin issue, while Christophe Berra is a doubtful starter with a hamstring injury.
