Man City have not had a very good tour of North America. The Citizens lost their first two games in the New York Football Challenge to Sporting CP and New York Red Bulls respectively.

However City manager Roberto Mancini is expected to field a stronger lineup against Inter. City were missing several of their stars against Sporting and the Red Bulls, with their squad mainly comprising of youngsters. However most of those youngsters have now returned home.

Inter Milan won the Champions League and Serie A under Jose Mourinho last season. However the Special One has left for Madrid and the Nerazzurri have now installed former Liverpool and Valencia boss Rafa Benitez in the hot seat at the San Siro. This is also a battle between a present and a past Inter manager- Mancini managed Inter before he was replaced by Mourinho.
