Italian giants AS Roma will travel from the Eternal City to Slovakia this Thursday to meet MFK Kosice in the first leg of their Europa League playoff round tie. Use your membership with the Live Sport Network to watch online live streaming MFK Kosice vs AS Roma.

MFK Kosice finished fourth in the Slovak Superliga last season, a position that would ordinarily have seen them miss out on Europe. But they managed to win the Slovak Cup by beating defending champions Artmedia Petrzalka, and thus qualified for the third qualifying round of the Europa League.

Kosice beat Bosnian outfit Slavija in the third round 5-1 on aggregate. Slovakian striker Jan Novak scored in both legs. Kosice won 2-0 in Sarajevo, and triumphed 3-1 at home. Kosice were beaten by Spartak Trnava in a nine goal thriller in their weekend league game. Jan Novak scored all four of Kosice's goals, but even his superhuman effort could not prevent them from losing.

AS Roma qualified for the playoff round by bulldozing their way past Belgian outfit Gent in the third qualifying round. Roma won 3-1 at home, and then thrashed Gent 7-1 in the away leg. Francesco Totti netted a brace in the first leg, and followed it up with a hat trick in the second leg against Gent. Roma will be hoping that Il Capitano continues his good pre-season form against Kosice.

Mirko Vucinic, Daniele de Rossi, Jeremy Menez and Okaka Chuka were the other scorers for Roma against Gent. The Giallorossi are favourites for this clash, but manager Luciano Spalletti has urged his side to treat Kosice with respect.
