After a two week international break, the French Ligue 1 resumes when leaders Lyon host OGC Nice on Saturday in their fourth league game. Lyon have 10 points from their four games so far, the last being a 1-0 win away at Le Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. Le Puel may have to turn to Kallstrom again as Grosso was injured in Italy’s World Cup qualifier against Cyprus. He could also give one of the two youngsters- Gassama or Kolo, a look in.

Nice bounced back from an opening day defeat at the hands of Le Have to record successive wins against Nancy, Auxerre and Valenciennes. Loic Remy is their top scorer with two goals, with Habib Bamogo and Mahamane Traore having one to their name each. Frederic Antonetti’s side have the same number of points as Le Mans and Grenoble, but have a goal difference of three as compared to the former’s five.

 

 

Unlike Lyon, Nice do not have to worry about the Champions League. Lyon’s focus will be on the midweek Champions League fixture, but it is essential that they win this and go into that match high on morale.
