Olympique Lyonnais will be looking to continue their comeback with a convincing win over Barcelona when the two teams play in the return leg of their Champions League tie on Tuesday.

Lyon's Champions League campaign seemed to have been over with defeats in their opening two matches against Barcelona and Rangers. But two wins in two matches against VfB Stuttgart have given the French club a chance to qualify to the knockout stages but will have to avoid defeat against Barcelona on Tuesday.

Lyon will be hoping to make use of the home advantage and avenge their 3-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Barcelona in the first leg of the fixture in Camp Nou. The French side have had a moderate success against Spanish clubs, winning three and losing two of their last five matches.

But one of the defeats came against Barcelona during the group stages in 2000-01 when they were eliminated from the competition after suffering a 3-2 defeat. Barcelona rode to the knockout stages on the victory while Lyon had to be content with a place in the UEFA Cup.

Meanwhile Barcelona can assure themselves of a place in the knockout stages if they collect a point against Lyon on Tuesday. The Catalan giants have played considerably well through out the group stage, winning three of their four matches and are yet to concede a goal.
