The Reds' dream of clinching an unlikely Premier League title ended last week when defending champions Manchester United retained their crown with a draw against Arsenal. Meanwhile Tottenham will be looking for a win to seal a spot in the Europa League next season. The Spurs have come a long way since the murky days under Juande Ramos and even the most optimistic fan would not have imagined the superb revival under Harry Redknapp. Last week, Spurs beat fellow European contenders Manchester City by a 2-1 margin with goals from Jermaine Defoe and Robbie Keane. Valeri Bojinov scored for Man City. The win took Tottenham to the 8th spot on the league table with 51 points from 37 games; just two behind Fulham, who occupy the final European spot.

Harry Redknapp may need to rely on youth for this game as a majority of the first team players miss out due to injuries. Aaron Lennon is out with a groin strain, while Darren Bent and Michael Dawson are yet to recover from their injuries. Wilson Palacios has flown home for family reasons, but Ledley King may feature for the first time since his arrest.
