Meanwhile Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini will be hoping that his team continues their excellent form this season with a comfortable victory at Anfield on Wednesday. Inter have lost just one game in all competitions this season and that came in the 1-0 defeat away to Fenerbahce in the first match of the group stage. Inter went on to win all of their remaining five matches to finish top of Group G.

Luis Figo could return to action after missing action for almost three months with a broken leg while Liverpool will be missing the lethal touch of Fernando Torres in the attack with the Spanish international out with a hamstring injury.
