After their impressive 4-0 home win against Reggina last weekend, Juventus travel to Lecce on Sunday with the sole aim of carrying on where the left off. Juventus’ thumping 4-0 win against Reggina last weekend erased the bad memories of the week before when they went down 1-0 away to leaders Inter Milan. They put in a great performance, scoring two goals in each half and all of the goals were scored by different players – Camoranesi, Amauri, Chiellini and striking stalwart, Del Piero.

Claudio Ranieri had the misfortune of losing one of the scorers, Camoranesi, to injury during the game. The player dislocated his shoulder late on and now faces a spell on the sidelines, although it is not thought to be for any longer than two or three weeks. He now joins Juventus’ huge missing in action list with no fewer than ten players out through injury or suspension!

The Inter defeat apart, Juventus have enjoyed a great run of form in recent weeks so will be looking to consolidate second place and hopefully even close the gap on the leaders, which currently stands at six points. They will be hoping to carry on this good form at Lecce this coming Sunday while also sending out a message to Inter that they are not done and dusted yet by any means.

Lecce are in wretched form at the moment and haven’t won a league game in ten attempts! They come into this game on the back of a 1-1 away draw to Catania and with a not unsubstantial injury list themselves, will be fearing the worst when Juventus hit town.
