Lyon trailed by two goals at the half time break in the CL game against Fiorentina, but showed great resilience to bring the game back on level terms. Lyon’s star of the game was undoubtedly Karim Benzema, for he not only scored the 85^th minute equalizer, but also set up Frederic Piquionne for the first goal. In their last league game against Nice, OL conceded for the first time season, but a brace from Juninho and a late stoppage time goal from Benzema saw them run out 3-2 winners. Lyon lead Ligue 1 at this stage, with thirteen points from a possible fifteen. The four goals that they conceded against Nice and Fiorentina would have troubled Le Puel a bit, and he will go all out to ensure that Lyon keep a clean sheet against Le Havre.

Le Havre, last season’s Ligue 2 champions, started off well by beating Nice 1-0 in their opening game, but then suffered three defeats in a row, losing to Toulouse, Marseille and Nancy. They drew with Rennes last week, and are 16^th in the table currently. With Lyon’s defence looking a bit wobbly in the absence of Grosso and Clerc and with Cris and Boumsong not really at their best, the likes of Cedric Faure and Jean Michel Lesage will look to hit OL early. In their home game against Marseille, they managed to have only one third of possession, but did have 10 odd shots on Marseille’s goal.
