Inter were beaten 2-1 by rivals Juventus in what was a massive result in terms of deciding the Scudetto. The loss saw Inter concede points and they now lead Roma by only four points at the top of the table. Goals from Mauro German Camoranesi and David Trezeguet laid Inter low at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza last weekend.

Marco Materazzi is back in coach Roberto Mancini's plans after he returned from suspension, but Cesar, Stankovic, Olivier Dacourt, Walter Samuel and Ivan Cordoba continue to be sidelined.

Meanwhile Lazio occupy a mid-table position on the Serie A and will also look to put behind a bitter 1-0 loss to Fiorentina last weekend. Fiorentia won courtesy a Giampaolo Pazzini goal in the 77th minute. The bitter contest also saw Massimo Mutarelli sent off for Lazio in the 37th minute.

This means that Massimo Mutarelli will miss the Inter clash. Luciano Zauri, Simone Del Nero, Fabio Firmani, Modibo Diakhite and Stefan Radu are all out with injuries. Coach Delio Rossi has seen his side recover from a poor start to the season and move up to the ninth spot on the table. Rossi will be hoping to escape unscathed from the Inter clash.
