Juventus will be looking to build on their narrow win over Siena last weekend when they welcome in form Sampdoria side in their next Serie A encounter on Wednesday. The Bianconeri registered their first victory in five matches with a narrow 1-0 win away to Siena on Sunday. Brazilian striker Amauri scored the only goal of the match 18 minutes from the final whistle as Juventus dominated the game from start to finish.

Coach Ciro Ferrara will be hoping that the narrow victory will provide a sound foundation for his side to relaunch its title challenge after three points from their last four games had seen the club slip to third in the league table, four points behind league leaders Inter Milan.

They take on Sampdoria side that will be high on confidence following a thumping 4-1 win against Bologna last weekend. Daniele Mannini scored a brace while Giampaolo Pazzini and Reto Ziegler were also on target.

The win sees Sampdoria hold on to their second place in the league table and with Inter expected to face some stern test against Palermo on Thursday; coach Luigi Del Neri will be hopeful that his side can collect all three points against Juventus and move to the top of the league table for at least 24 hours.

Sampdoria had held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in this fixture last season with Pazzini opening the scoring early in the 10th minute only for Amauri to equalize just past the hour mark.
