A poor run of five defeats from their last six games has seen the Bianconeri slide down from second to sixth in the league table. Pressure is increasing on the Juventus board to sack coach Ciro Ferrara though the 42 year old expressed optimism that he will be given a chance to turn his side’s form around.

Juventus suffered a third successive defeat last weekend as a John Arne Riise goal late in injury time helped Roma secure a vital 2-1 win against Claudio Ranieri’s former club. Juventus will be missing keeper Gianluigi Buffon who was sent off during the game against Roma along with Vincenzo Iaquinta, Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio who are all out injured.

Meanwhile Lazio coach Davide Ballardini will be looking to take advantage of Juventus’ poor run of form and register a vital victory that could see his side pull further away from the relegation zone. Lazio have struggled for form so far this season and find themselves just two points above the drop zone.
