In their last league match prior to the international break, Juventus notched up their fifth straight win when they dispatched Roma in Rome and kept up their pursuit of league leaders Inter Milan. Juventus had a great 4-1 win away to Roma just before the international break and in doing so have pulled away in second place, thanks also to AC Milan’s 0-0 draw at Napoli. The win took Claudio Ranieri’s men to 62 points but they still find themselves seven behind leaders Inter who also managed to win last time out.

Two goals from Iaquinta and one each from Mellberg and Nedved sealed the deal for the “Old Lady” against the Romans and the result would have delighted coach Claudio Ranieri. The game against Roma in the Olympic Stadium is traditionally one fraught with danger and difficulty for the Turin men, but they came through with flying colours.

Chievo arrive in town on the back of a good 1-0 home win against Palermo and this result means they have now gone four league games without defeat. They are currently sitting in sixteenth position in the Serie A table with 30 points, but are, crucially, six points clear of the relegation spots at the moment. For a team so low in the table, they have a pretty decent away record of four wins, three draws and seven defeats.
