Italy start the preparations for the defense of their World Cup title with a friendly game against Mexico at the King Baudouin Stadium on Thursday. Catch all the live football feeds from that game by signing up with us here on Live Sport Network.

The defending champions are expected to secure a comfortable passage to at least the knockout stage but a less than comfortable qualification campaign means coach Marcello Lippi will be looking to go into the tournament on the back of morale boosting victories over Mexico and Switzerland.

Lippi is yet to name his 23-man squad for the World Cup though Palermo keeper Salvatore Sirigu, Bari defender Leonardo Bonucci and Cagliari’s Andrea Cossu are expected to be cut from the 28-man provisional squad on Tuesday.

Meanwhile Mexico coach Javier Aguirre has named his 23-man squad after seeing him team thrash Gambia 5-1 in their latest friendly game on Sunday. Mexico have been busy preparing for the World Cup and have so far played seven friendlies, managing to win four.

Barcelona’s Jonathan Dos Santos misses out in spite of impressing in the game against Gambia, though his brother Giovani was included, while Juan Carlos Valenzuela and Adrian Aldrete are also not in the squad.
