They are behind Switzerland, Greece and Latvia. The latter two have 14 points each, while the Swiss have 17. Israel kept their hopes of qualifying for South Africa 2010 by beating Luxembourg 7-0 last month. Elyaniv Barda struck a first-half hat-trick, while Ben Sahar grabbed a brace in the game. The other two goals were scored by Aviram Baruchyan and Omar Golan. Israel coach Dror Kashtan will hope his side can give the other teams a run for their money by winning their last two games. Borussia Moenchengladbach striker Roberto Colautti has been called up to the squad as has Bolton's Tamir Cohen. Israel need goals and with all attention being on the Greece-Latvia game in Athens, Kashtan will hope his side do not slip up against the minnows. Ben Sahar has also joined the squad after initially being reluctant as he feared being arrested for dodging army service. The former Chelsea player has promised to enroll in the army shortly. Meanwhile with nothing left to play for Moldova will simply be hoping to play spoilsport in the group. The side is currently bottom of the group with three points from 8 games. Last month they held Greece to a 1-1 draw to severely dent their qualification hopes and will aim to repeat the same dose against Israel.
