Fresh from having qualified for the world cup next year, Australia travel to Dublin to take on the Republic of Ireland in a friendly game at Croke Park this Wednesday. You can watch all the live international friendly football from across the globe by signing up with us here on Live Sport Network.

Republic manager Giovanni Trapattoni is still not favoring Stephen Ireland, who remains out of the squad for this friendly as well. Ireland has not played for the national team since September 2007. Steven Reid is on standby for this game after recovering from an injury that has kept him out since October last year.

Alex Bruce and Damien Delaney are also on stand-by for this game as Trapattoni looks to get some cover for his 24-man squad. Trapattoni has said this game will be a stern test for his team as they prepare to take on Cyprus in their next world cup qualifier next month.

Meanwhile Australia coach Pim Verbeek has named an experimental squad for this game as he looks over all his options for the upcoming world cup. Scott Chipperfield, Vince Grella and Brett Emerton are all rested for this game, but Tim Cahill, Lucas Neill and Harry Kewell have been named.

Verbeek has called up Oliver Bozanic, Aaron Mooy and Nikita Rukavytsya for the first time and has recalled Ante Covic and Patrick Kisnorbo to the squad.
