Inter Milan will be looking to extend their lead at the top of their group table when they welcome German side Werder Bremen in their second Champions League match on Wednesday. Catch all the live Champions League action here on Live Sport Network.

 

 

Inter secured a 2-0 win away to Panathinaikos in their opening match and will be hoping to draw first blood against a side that is tipped to qualify out of the group stages. Goals in either half from Mancini and Adriano propelled Inter to a comfortable win over the Greek club with Jose Mourinho hoping to achieve his second Champions League title with a new club after failing to do so in the three years that he was with Chelsea.

Brought to the club with the sole intention of improving Inter's fortune in the Champions League, Jose Mourinho will be hoping to build on his side's knockout stage finish last season when they suffered a 3-0 aggregate defeat to Liverpool, losing both their matches against the English club.

 

 

Meanwhile Werder Bremen will be hoping to improve on their disappointing draw against Anorthosis in their first group match. Tipped to secure a comfortable win at home, Bremen struggled to convert their chances with Pizarro, Mesut Ozil and Hugo Almeida all failing to hit the back of the net.

Both the teams last met in the 2004-05 season when Inter secured a comfortable 2-0 win thanks to a brace from Adriano with Bremen been reduced to 10 men early in the game. Coach Thomas Schaaf will be hoping to improve his side's away form in the competition with Bremen losing all of their three away games in the group stage last season.
