The defending Scudetto Champions have had an indifferent start to the season although they won the Milan derby in an emphatic manner. Last weekend the Nerazzurri succumbed to a shock 1-0 loss to Sampdoria thanks to a late goal from Giampaolo Pazzini in the 72nd minute. The match was a tight one and was hard-fought, but in the end, Inter just could not score.

Manager Jose Mourinho's fury would have been compounded by his team's failure to perform well in the Champions League game during the midweek when they were held to a 1-1 draw in Russia by Rubin Kazan. For this game Wesley Sneijder is a doubtful starter with a hip injury, but Thiago Motta and David Suazo are expected to be fit.

Meanwhile Udinese will be in a confident mood having beaten Genoa by a 2-0 margin last week. Goals from Antonio Di Natale and Simone Pepe gave Udinese all three points in that game. Udinese have beaten AC Milan by a 1-0 margin in their previous game and will be keen to add Inter to their list of big name wins.
