Hull City will be looking to build on their good start to the new season by putting up another fighting display when they welcome Wigan Athletic in their next Premiership match on Saturday. Hull go into the match following a disappointing defeat against Swansea in their Carling Cup clash in the midweek. Hull had taken an early lead through Dean Windass in the 11th minute but Gorka Pintado equalized midway through the second half and a Jordi Gomez goal in the extra time saw Hull bow out of the tournament.

 

 

However manager Phil Brown will not be too disheartened by the defeat with a good performance throughout the Premier League being the top priority for the club. They take on a Wigan Athletic side that will be high on confidence following their 4-0 thrashing of Notts County in the Carling Cup match on Tuesday. Henri Camara scored his first goals in nearly 20 months, hitting the target in either half with Amr Zaki and Tomasz Kupisz also on target.
