Hull City will look to achieve their first win in seven games when they play Middlesbrough this weekend. Watch all the live premier league action here on Live Sport Network. Hull City's last win came way back in October when they overcame West Bromwich Albion 0-3 away from home. Since then they have lost games to Chelsea, Manchester United and Bolton and have drawn against have drawn against Manchester City, Portsmouth and Stoke City.
In their last game away at Stoke, Marlon King's first-half strike had given Hull the lead in less than ideal conditions at the Britannia Stadium. However a dubious penalty was awarded to Stoke after the referee adjudged that keeper Boaz Myhill had tripped Ricardo Fuller. The latter converted from the spot to rescue a point for the home side. Hull manager Phil Brown has indicated his side will be spending some dough in the transfer window in January although he is non-committal about the long-term future of Marlon King, who is on a season-loan from Wigan.
Meanwhile Middlesbrough drew their home game 0-0 with Newcastle last weekend to remain on the 12th spot on the Premiership table with 19 points from 15 games. Boro had the better chances, but were unable to convert. The game was marred by controversy with striker Mido being allegedly abused by visiting fans. More worrying for manager Gareth Southgate is the form or the lack of it in striker Afonso Alves. Boro have managed to score just five goals in their last five games and Alves needs to start firing soon if the club is to entertain hopes of finishing in the top half this season.
