A hard fought match against Serbia ended in a narrow 1-0 victory for Ghana with Asamoah Gyan scoring the winner from the penalty spot with just six minutes remaining on the clock.

Coach Milovan Rajevac admitted that his side were lucky to secure all three points from the game and will now be looking to book their place in the knockout stage by securing three more points against Australia.

Australia on the other hand will be without Tim Cahill who was sent off during their 4-0 thrashing by Germany. The Socceroos were completely outplayed by the Germans and will have to put up a vastly improved performance if they are to have any hopes of challenging for a place in the knockout stage.
