Getafe coach Michael Laudrup will be relishing the challenge after having led the Spanish minnows to the knockout stage of the UEFA Cup for the forst time in their history. Getafe have finished their group stage ahead of more illustrious clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and RSC Anderlecht and look to be on course of making it to the semi-finals for the first time in their history. Getafe central defender Mario Alvarez will continue to be out with a thigh strain, but otherwise Laudrup has a full team to chose from.

Benifca's misery in Lisbon was compounded when Oscar Cardozo was sent off after he swung an arm at Getafe defender Belenguer. Consequently Cardozo will miss the return fixture, but Benfica do have the bench strength to challenge Getafe.

Benfica coach Jose Antonio Camacho will hope his team can pull off the same heroics that allowed them to beat FC Nurnberg 3-2 in the previous round. Striker Augustin Binya is also out as he is serving a four-match suspension.
