Getafe are in line to pull off yet another upset in the competition when they welcome Bayern Munich in the second leg of their UEFA Cup quarter final clash on Thursday.

The Spanish side has already dumped out some of the big names in the competition including Anderlecht, Tottenham Hotspur, AEK Athens and Benfica and could pull off the biggest upset of this season if they manage to beat tournament favorites Bayern Munich.

Getafe go into the second leg after holding Bayern to a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena in the first leg. Bayern looked on course for an expected victory after taking the lead through Luca Toni but missed a number of chances to extend their lead. Getafe made them pay for the missed chances in the final minute of the match when Cosmin Contra came off the bench to grab the equalizer in the 90th minute.

Getafe will be optimistic of going through after seeing Bayern's poor form on Spanish soil with the German club losing eight and winning just four of their 15 games played in Spain. Their overall record against Spanish opposition reads 17 wins and eight losses in 34 matches.

Getafe on the other hand are facing a German opposition for the first time in their history and on the basis of their performance in the first leg, do not appear to be overawed on facing one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
