The Germans produced the best performance in the competition so far to thrash Australia 4-0 in their opening group match on Sunday. Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose, Thomas Muller and Cacau were on target as Germany ran riot and the margin of the victory should have been greater.

Serbia on the other hand go into the match on the back of yet another disappointing performance as they lost out to Ghana. Struggling to stamp their authority on Ghana, Serbia were reduced to 10 men in the 74th minute with Aleksandar Lukovic being sent off and the African side took full advantage of their numerical superiority to secure all three points from the game with Asamoah Gyan scoring the winner from the penalty spot.

Germany coach Joachim Loew is not expected to make any chances to the squad while Serbia will be without Lukovic who is suspended for the game.
