Germany welcome Wales in their final game of the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign knowing fully well that even a win at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt am Main may not be enough to guarantee them top spot in Group D.

Germany have already qualified for the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland next year. However they will still want to top Group D, which they cannot accomplish should the Czech Republic win their clash against Cyprus on November 21. Germany beat Cyprus 4-0 on November 17 thanks to goals from Clemens Fritz, Miroslav Klose, Lucal Podolski and Thomas Hitzlsperger.

Coach Joachim Löw will want to end the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign as Group D leaders. FC Schalke 04 midfielder Jermaine Jones, who was called up for the first time was unlucky to sustain an ankle injury, which will see him miss the Wales clash.

Löw has decided not to name any replacement for the injured Jones.Left-back Marcell Jansen will also miss the Wales clash after damaging cartilage and ligaments in his right ankle.

Meanwhile Wales have a chance of finishing as high as the third spot in Group D should they win against Germany. Wales drew 2-2 against the Republic of Ireland on November 17. Jason Koumas scored both goals for Wales in that game. The side will look to end their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign on a high note.

John Toshack will be without left-back Gareth Bale, who is out with a foot injury. Striker Craig Bellamy will also miss out due to a groin issue, but Owain Tudur-Jones is back in the team after nearly one year. Tudur-Jones was out with a knee injury.

Germany are second in Group D with 26 points from 11 games, while Wales are fourth with 14 points from 11 games. Watch Germany vs Wales Live on free-football.tv
