Georgia v Lithuania LiveLithuania will be on a high when they travel to the Boris Paichadze stadium in Tbilisi to face Georgia in their final Euro 2008 qualifier. Lithuania beat Ukraine 2-0 at Kaunas and will look to keep the momentum going in their clash against Georgia as well.
Mantas Savenas was the hero for Lithuania as he scored one goal and set up another to give them a fine win. A win over Georgia will see them finish above Ukraine in Group B and that will be a commendable result for them.
Lithuania coach Algimantas Liubinskas will be delighted with the Ukraine win and has named a 26-man squad for the game, in which Marius Stankevicius returns after recovering from a broken collarbone. Darvydas Šernas is a surprise inclusion into the squad.
However Deividas Šemberas and Deividas Cesnauskis are out with injury, while Audrius Ksanavicius and Aurimas Kučys are out with suspension after picking up two yellow cards. Saulius Mikoliunas is serving a two-match ban.
Georgia on the other hand will want to end their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign on a high note at home. Georgia coach Klaus Toppmöller has included captain Kakha Kaladze in his 21-man squad following the latter's recovery from a thigh injury that forced him to miss last month's game against Belgium.
Roin Kvaskhvadze, Amiran Sanaia and Nika Gelashvil are the only new faces in the squad. Georgia play a friendly against Qatar on November 17 before ending their Euro 2008 campaign with the clash against Lithuania.
Georgia are sixth in Group B with 10 points from 11 games, while Lithuania are fifth with 13 points from 11 games. Watch Georgia vs Lithuania Live on free-football.tv. Tags: Lithuania, Euro 2008 qualifier, Georgia, Euro 2008 qualifying, Lithuania Live Posted: |
