Inter Milan’s lead at the top of Serie A was cut to seven points last weekend, as they could only draw at home while nearest rivals Juventus were beating Napoli 1-0. Inter Milan played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Roma last weekend at the San Siro. Mourinho’s men had a nightmare start to the game and found themselves trailing 2-0 by the 29^th minute. They pulled one back early in the second half, but Roma extended their lead once again in the 56^th minute. Inter though, are made of stern stuff and showed all their fighting qualities by scoring another two goals and securing the point – preserving their unbeaten home record at the same time.

A plus to come out of the game for Inter was the fact that youngster Balotelli, who replaced the injured Ibrahimovic, grabbed the first two goals for his team and he promises to be a great talent as he matures. Jose Mourinho has no major injury worries going into Saturday’s game, so will be expecting (demanding) his team get back to winning ways, therefore avoiding any unpleasant complications in their quest of retaining the title.

For their part, Genoa come into the game on the back of a 0-0 draw away to Siena. They are still occupying fifth position in the Serie A table with 45 points and they are unbeaten so far this season at home in the league, with eight wins and four draws from their twelve games.
