Group F leaders Galatasaray welcome Dinamo Bucharest to the Ali Sami Yen Stadium this Thursday as the Europa League resumes after the international break. Galatasaray were held to a 1-1 draw by Austrian side Sturm Graz at home on Match Day two. Daniel Beichler gave the visitors the lead in first half injury time, but Gala got their equaliser in the 63^rd minute through Milan Baros. Sturm lost possession in midfield, and Baros collected Elano’s pass before rounding Christian Gratzei and shooting left footed into the roof of the net.

Galatasaray are playing Dinamo in Europe for the first time since 1962. They eliminated Dinamo from the Champions Club Cup on that occasion, winning 4-3 over two legs. Frank Riijkard’s men currently lead Group F with four points from two games, one more than Greek giants Panathinaikos. Emre Asik will miss the next game if he is booked against Dinamo.

Dinamo were beaten 1-0 by Panathinaikos on Match Day 2. That game was played behind closed doors because of a UEFA penalty, thereby denying Dinamo the advantage of playing in front of their own fans. Dinamo beat Brasov 1-0 in their weekend game, while Galatasaray won a seven goal thriller against Trabzonspor.

Dinamo have travelled to Turkey four times prior to this visit, and have won only once- against Boluspor in 1974.  Their recent away form has been good, having won three of their last five European games on the road. This is caretaker boss Ion Marin’s first European game in charge of the club. Marin took charge of affairs from Italian manager Dario Bonetti, who was asked to put in his papers after the loss to Panathinaikos.
