The Black Panthers sprung a shock on pre-tournament favorites Cameroon beating them 1-0 in their opening encounter. Hull City striker Daniel Cousin was the lone goal scorer in the game, which was played at a hectic pace for most part.

Meanwhile Tunisia began the tournament on a sedate note after being held to a 1-1 draw by Zambia in their opening game. Jacob Mulenga had given Zambia the lead in the 19th minute, but Souheil Dhaoudadi leveled in the 40th minute to even things up.

Tunisia manager Faouzi Benzarti will be happy with the draw, but will hope for a stronger performance against Gabon. A win here for Tunisia will open up Group D especially as Cameroon lost their opening game.
