The Cottagers are having a good season in the Premier League thanks to Roy Hodgson's astute management. They have also progressed to the next stage of the Europa Cup where they will meet Shakhtar Donetsk, so 2009 has been a good year for the fans.

Hodgson is without defender Brede Hangeland, who is yet to recover from his knee injury, while John Pantsil is also unavailable. The latter was expected to go off to the African Cup of Nations, but has sustained a knee injury that could see him miss the tournament. Last season Fulham made it to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup where they lost to Manchester United by a 0-4 margin.

Meanwhile Swindon Town are placed in the middle of the League One table. It has been an unremarkable season for them so far. Swindon manager Danny Wilson will be hoping his side manages to stretch Fulham to the limit.

A shock win would be just the tonic for fans, but there are no expectations from this one. Lloyd Macklin could start after making a recovery from a leg fracture, while Kevin Amankwaah is also available following his recovery from a stomach upset.
