Fulham drew with CSKA Sofia on Match Day 1, but beat Swiss side Basel 1-0 on Match Day 2 at home. Diomansy Kamara scored for the Cottagers against CSKA, while Danny Murphy was on target against Basel. Fulham currently lead the group with four points, one ahead of Basel and Roma.

Roy Hodgson’s men beat Hull City 2-0 in the Premier League on Monday night. Bobby Zamora gave Fulham the lead in the 43^rd minute, heading in the rebound after Damien Duff’s first time attempt had been saved by Hull keeper Boaz Myhill. Zamora also had a hand in the second goal, crossing for Diomansy Kamara to slot home unmarked at the far post. The result took Fulham to 12^th in the table.

Roma recovered from a shock opening day loss to Basel to post a 2-0 win over CSKA Sofia at the Stadio Olimpico on Match Day 2. The Eternal City outfit took the lead through Stefano Okaka Chuka’s 19^th minute strike. Simone Perrotta made it 2-0 four minutes later as Roma eased to victory.

Roma lost their weekend Serie A match 2-1 to Milan. Jeremy Menez gave the Giallorossi an early lead at the San Siro, but Milan won the game thanks to a Ronaldinho penalty and an Alexandre Pato goal. Roma were incensed at referee Roberto Rossetti for giving the penalty that allowed Milan to equalise, claiming that Nicolas Burdisso had won the ball fair and square.
