The Magpies look to have turned the corner following the appointment of Joe Kinnear as the interim manager until Mike Ashley manages to sell the club. Newcastle have collected maximum points from their last two matches, beating West Brom 2-1 before registering a comfortable 2-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend.

Obafemi Martins scored a brace in the second half as Newcastle United shot up to 14th in the league table. With Keith Harris, who is scouring the market to find a bidder for the club, stating that he has found two parties who are seriously interested in buying, Kinnear will be confident of being named the permanent coach should Newcastle continue to maintain their good form into the next year.

 

 

Meanwhile it is a must win game for Fulham who are struggling to keep themselves out of the relegation zone. Just five points from their last seven games has seen the Cottagers sit just two points out of the drop zone and though they do have a game in hand, manager Roy Hodgson will be aware that his side will have to win the game against Newcastle this Sunday.

Fulham are scheduled to face Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Aston Villa in their next three matches and are favorites to return home empty handed from all the games. The Magpies completed a double over Fulham last season, winning this fixture 2-0 before securing a narrow 1-0 win at St James Park.
