The Cottagers fell to their third straight defeat against Arsenal in the league on Saturday. Alexander Frei and Valentin Stocker, who also found the back of the net against St.Gallen, were the scorers for Basel in their most recent game against Aarau. FCB thus moved three places up in the table to fourth, but they are still ten points behind leaders Young Boys.

Fulham have not lost in nine European games at home, while Basel have not won away in European competition since beating Crvena Zvezda in 2005.
